General Information

Please allow 2-3 weeks lead time on all new timber flooring as the wood is machined in the UK to order (some flooring may be available within a week, but please check beforehand).

Payment must be made in full and funds cleared before the delivery date for all new wood flooring. Reclaimed flooring can usually be delivered within a week of ordering and full balance is payable on delivery.

Please also allow 2 weeks acclimatisation for both new and reclaimed woods – preferably in the room where the wood is to be laid. Most of the new wood has a moisture content of 8-10% and this is checked on leaving the timber yard.

Please allow 10% wastage on both reclaimed and new floors.

It is very important that the flooring is laid correctly and ultimately it is up to the professional floor layer to decide, on the basis of their experience and site conditions, the most suitable method. We are however happy to give you guidelines for laying the floor if you are laying it yourself.

All the floors whether reclaimed or new (with the exception of the aged, distressed oak) will require sanding and all the floors including the aged, distressed oak will require sealing.

Environment Policy:

We actively attempt to ensure all our new timber is obtained from sustainable sources. Stocks are purchased from managed forests where as trees are harvested, new trees are planted. We do not sell rainforest timber.
